9: Mid-Term Essay

Should schools cut art classes? That’s a pretty stupid question if you ask me. Art is more than just painting and drawing, it’s also dancing and singing too. Art is a way people can express their selves. They can draw a meaningful abstract, sing a song, or dance their selves through their emotions. Having art classes at school encourages students to show their creativity.
Art is the very reason why the school looks the way it does. Students hang their creations on the walls of their school to inform students on current events. Cutting art classes will make the school look dull and unhappy. On the other hand, no one wants to go to an all core class school. It’s bad enough some people are falling classes with five or two core classes but now their grades are going to get worst because they can’t keep up with all the learning.
I see art classes as a little break from school. Art classes in school are a time to get way from all your hard learning and relax and do what you like. Art classes are also what help young students discover their hidden talents at an early age. In elementary school, you were probably the “shy guy” that had stage fright but thanks to art, you over came your shyness and grew up to be a singer. That’s the magic of art and is the reason why art classes should not be cut from school.
